MEET DR. MELISSA M. GONZALEZ

Dr. Melissa M. Gonzalez completed her undergraduate education at the University of Georgia in Athens, earning a Bachelor of Science in both Biology and Psychology. A passionate college football fan, she enjoys cheering on her Georgia Bulldogs each season. She furthered her education at the Georgia School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Atlanta, where she earned both her Master of Arts and Doctor of Psychology degrees in Clinical Psychology.

In 2013, Dr. Gonzalez relocated from Atlanta to Houston, Texas, where she joined The Tarnow Center for Self-Management, a multidisciplinary practice. She contributed to the center for nearly 12 years before establishing her private practice in 2024.

Dr. Gonzalez is a licensed clinical psychologist in Texas and has been granted Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) by the PSYPACT Commission. PSYPACT is an interstate compact that offers an expedited pathway for practice to qualified psychologists who wish to practice in multiple states.
